You have the choice between an internal and external reporting office. Internal reports are usually the best way to bring information to our attention, as they are the quickest way to investigate and rectify possible violations. In cases where effective action can be taken internally against a possible violation and you do not fear reprisals, you should prefer to report to our internal reporting office. The HinSchG also states in the law that reporting to an internal reporting office is preferable. However, if an internally reported violation has not been remedied, you are free to contact an external reporting office
.

Please also note that the documentation of your report is usually deleted three years after the conclusion of a procedure. After this time, documents from the procedure are no longer available for evidence purposes.
